SEKAI press kit

SEKAI (世界, “world”) turns a catalog of AI models into an imagined Japanese archipelago you can walk through in the browser. Each of seven provinces gathers models with a shared strength, and each model family is a village.

Visitors can compare models’ prices, context windows and modalities, then open the Worktable, a browser-local space to chat, write and make things with the providers they connect. Conversations and files stay in the visitor’s browser; requests to models go from the browser straight to the provider.

About SEKAI

Short boilerplate

SEKAI (世界) is an imagined Japanese archipelago you can walk through in the browser, where 350 AI models live in seven provinces by what they do best, with a browser-local Worktable for trying them.

Long boilerplate

SEKAI (世界, “world”) turns a catalog of AI models into an imagined Japanese archipelago in the browser. 350 models from 56 providers, as listed by OpenRouter on 2026-10-24, live in 123 villages across seven provinces, each gathering models with a shared strength: long memory in Snow Country, deep reasoning in the High Peaks, code and agents in the Cedar Forest, creative models on the Tidal Isles and more.

Visitors walk the islands in real-time 3D or read the static guide, compare prices, context windows and modalities, and open the Worktable (机): a browser-local space to chat, write and make things with the model providers they connect. Conversations and files stay in the visitor’s browser, and requests go from the browser straight to the provider.

The world has seasons, festivals, ferries and rowing boats, villagers who write letters, and a photo mode. The guide is available in English and Japanese, with Korean, Simplified Chinese, Spanish and Norwegian pages for the catalog.

Palette

Sumi ink and indigo surfaces, washi paper and gold, and a vermilion seal. Hex values are sRGB.

Type

The site serves Latin subsets of both; Japanese text uses the reader’s system mincho and gothic.

In-world captures

Screenshots of the real-time 3D world, captured in a desktop browser with scripts/capture-trailer.mjs.

Interface screenshots

Approved screenshots of the site and the world. They were captured before the 15.0 retheme, so they show the earlier green interface and the old “workspace” name.
